Project: 150 Farnborough Business Park
ASA Landscape Architects were appointed by Frasers Property UK to re-imagine and enhance the arrival experience to 150 Farnborough Business Park. The brief was to create a useable outdoor space which celebrates and guides occupiers towards the building entrance.
In order to achieve this the existing road in front of the building was narrowed to a single lane reducing passing vehicle speed and connecting the previously disjointed spaces either side of the road. Parking bays on either side were absorbed into the expanded frontage, facilitating the inclusion of strategically placed seating and planters with seasonal planting to encourage occupiers to linger.
Embracing sustainable initiatives, the design incorporates reclaimed concrete block paving from the site, reducing both the demand for virgin resources and minimise landfill waste, while contributing to a seamless integration with the surrounding landscape.
Strong geometric lines and angular overhead structures establish an aesthetic continuity with the iconic Hangar at Farnborough Business Park while providing visual and physical guides through the landscape to the building frontage.
The project reached completion in the Spring of 2024.
