Project: Sutton Courtenay Play Area
Following engagement by Sutton Courtenay Parish Council, ASA Landscape Architects have worked with key Parish Council members to develop a concept to refurbish and extend the provision currently available at the village playground, ensuring opinions generated by the Public Consultation were incorporated where possible.
Through careful design and costing, ASA supported Sutton Courtenay Parish Council to go out to tender to several playground providers, resulting in the appointment of Kompan who worked with ASA to further refine the playground design to provide an innovative and inclusive play space for children of all ages and abilities.
Subject to funding, construction works are due to start Autumn 2022. This will be one of the first play areas in the county to install equipment made from recycled plastic marine waste using their Kompan’s Greenline range, alongside other equipment made from Robinia. Facilities will include 2 shelters, a renewed Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) and play equipment for a range of ages, as well as a pump track for BMX bikes.
