The New Cycle and Footbridge is Installed at Milton Park

A new bridge for cyclists and pedestrians connecting Milton Park to Abingdon and Oxford has now been installed as part of Milton Park’s 2040 Vision to continue to promote sustainable transport modes to and from work to help improve foot and cycle connectivity while reducing car use reliance.

Opened in August this year, a new footpath and cycleway route totalling 0.62 miles running north-south length at Milton Park was designed by ASA, and will connect Backhill Tunnel to Kelaart’s Field via the new bridge. This new bridge will also link to the wider footpath/cycleway network in the Vale across Kelaart’s Field to Milton Road in Sutton Courtenay to greatly improve the Park’s connections to Abingdon and Oxford making it easier to choose cycling and walking to work.
