Project: Milton Park

ASA are proud to have supported, in conjunction with CBRE, the management of the Landscape Maintenance contract at Milton Park for over 20 years.

This premium Science Park is the UK’s largest single ownership business community and has a well-established landscape, which encompasses lagoons and streams (as part of a wider SuDS network) walking and cycling networks, as well as pocket-parks and building curtilages.

Client: CBRE on behalf of MEPC.

Location: Milton Park, Abingdon

Commencement: Over 20 years and ongoing

Size: 250 acres.

Activities include

  • Preparation of contract documents including Landscape Maintenance Specifications.
  • Preparation and management of ArcGIS mapping tool and Park Masterplan, to capture all landscape assets and features.
  • Supervision of landscape maintenance contract, including monthly inspections of the park and reporting, to review the standard of maintenance and condition of the landscape and provide recommendations for improvements to achieve the required specification standards.
  • Preparation of designs for general landscape improvements, as well as estimates for budget purposes.
  • Monitoring of improvement works to ensure appropriate standards are achieved.
  • Chairing of quarterly landscape meetings.
  • Being on-call for landscape queries arising throughout the year.

In conjunction with CBRE, MEPC and Nurture Landscapes, the Milton Park has achieved the following awards:

  • BALI Awards: Grounds Maintenance (including Green Roof Maintenance) with limited public access: Principal Award Winner 2021.
  • Green Apple Environmental Award 2022
